250 years ago, my family started brewing beer in Wales. From humble beginnings our involvement in Welsh Brewing has seen us grow from a small back street brewery in Llanelli to a modern specialist brewery based in Llandeilo, rural West Wales. And on the way we have seen Wales grow from an agricultural economy to a modern industrial nation, with our own devolved government.
Along with my son James, I am proud to lead our family business at a time when doors are opening to new opportunities for great Welsh beers around the world. We intend being at the forefront of this revolution.
As our 250 year celebrations draw to an end, we are preparing for the next 250 years. Evan Evans now brews one of the finest portfolios of beers in Wales, if not the best. We have five exciting brands, each unique and each appealing to different audiences. We export to seven countries in Europe including France, Italy, Spain and Sweden. We trade with the USA, and soon we will be exporting to China. We lead the field in brewing the finest Organic and Gluten Free beers and to cap it all, we now have the newest and probably best tasting cider to come out of from Wales, Redhog Wild Cider!
All this would not be possible were it not for the brewery staff and the teams in our pubs who exude the passion and commitment that has made our business what it is. This is just the beginning and I am hopeful that you will join us on our journey to put Wales back at the top of world brewing.
